Dato’ Cheong Peak Sooi, is a Director of CKS Maju Sdn Bhd and an Executive Director of Perak Transit Berhad. He holds a Certificate in Business Management from MDIS Business School, Singapore, obtained in 1988.
He commenced his career in 1992 as a site manager for G&C Civil Engineering Pte Ltd in Singapore. In 2000, he left G&C Civil Engineering Pte Ltd and subsequently took a position as a field service representative in Ameron Pte Ltd, Singapore. During his eight (8) years tenure with Ameron Pte Ltd, his responsibilities were to liaise with clients and prepare proposals for clients, supervise and monitor the installation of piping, as well as quality check and handover the completed installation work to clients.
In 2008, he joined Star Kensington Sdn Bhd as a director where he was responsible for the operation of the company’s petrol station operations and subsequently resigned in 2011. In the same year, he was appointed as a director of The Combined Bus Services Sdn Bhd, a position that he continues to hold till today. He is responsible to supervise and monitor the construction, and subsequently the day-to- day operations of Terminal Meru Raya and Terminal Kampar Putra.

Ir. Chee has extensive properties development experience and civil & structural design, locally and internationally. Throughout his many years of experience since 2005, he has been assigned as Project Manager and Engineer by renowned developers and consulting firms for numerous high-rise residential & commercial buildings, malls, factories, infrastructures, industrial parks, integrated townships and large scaled development projects. He also has comprehensive records in consulting clients from initial development planning stage until handover stage.
He has the strength not only in the technical design & managerial skills, but also in master plan development, feasibility studies, budget estimations, schedule management, statutory submission, value engineering, project management and quality control.
He holds the following professional memberships:
Registered Professional Engineer with Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM)
Corporate Member, Institution of Engineers Malaysia (IEM)
Associate ASEAN Engineer (AAE)
